European Migration Network (hereinafter – Network) is composed of network of national contact points designated by the Member States and the European Commission.
The Network shall normally meet at least five times a year.
The purpose of the periodic meetings of the Network is:
- enable the National Contact Points to exchange knowledge and experience, in particular as regards the operation of the Network;
- review progress in the work of the Network;
- provide a platform for discussion of practical and legal problems encountered by the Member States in the area of migration and asylum;
- consult with the National Contact Points in the development of the Network’s annual programme of activities.
