National Conference of the European Migration Network Italy “From the vulnerability to the mental-psychological health of migrants: a challenge for reception on a European scale”

This year, the annual National Conference of the European Migration Network (EMN) Italy will be entitled “From the vulnerability to the mental-psychological health of migrants: a challenge for reception on a European scale”.
The theme stems from a strong interest from our national partners as well as from stakeholders across other EU Member States. After the welcoming words from National and EU officials, the conference will be organised in three sessions:
• The first session will deal with the early diagnosis/intervention in the field of mental health from
problematic issues to good practices. During this session, the participants will address different
topics such as the importance of training for the identification of the risk factors for mental health
and the detection of vulnerabilities and the mental health of unaccompanied minors. Experiences in this field from the other Member States will be shared.
• The second session will address the topic of the access by migrants to social and health services focussing in the support actions and access to information by migrants.
• The third session will be a round table with the title “Looking for the future on the issue of migrants’ mental health and reception.
